I have been walking behind Spaniels from Windbourne Kennel since 1981. All of my spaniels are steady to wing and shot without the use of an e-collar. The two bitches brought in from Denmark based upon their pedigree and the fact that e-collars are not widely used in Denmark.
While I do not field trial my English Springer Spaniels, they have proven themselves in the woodcock and partridge covers of New England and New Brunswick.
